Job Summary

Bridge Care, Inc is hiring compassionate and dependable Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide one-on-one support to older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout the state of Maine. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful work, prefers working independently, and wants to make a difference in the lives of others.

As a Personal Support Specialist, you will provide hands-on support with personal care, daily living activities, and routine household tasks to help clients remain safe and comfortable in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on daily care and personal support to clients in home settings
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and mobility
  • Monitor and report changes in a client’s condition, health, or safety
  • Provide medication reminders or assistance as allowed by training and care plan
  • Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and general home support
  • Support clients with daily routines, companionship, and comfort
  • Follow safety procedures and infection control guidelines
  • Complete care documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintain dependable attendance and follow assigned schedules
  • Treat all clients with dignity, respect, and compassion

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must begin a PSS training program within 2 months of hire
  • Must obtain PSS certification within 9 months of hire
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Must maintain active vehicle insurance
  • Must be available for afternoon and evening shifts
  • Must have a working cell phone for EVV documentation and scheduling

Schedule

  • Flexible schedule
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Weekend availability
  • Overnight shift, if applicable
  • Shifts may range from 8 to 40 hours per week

Pay and Benefits

  • $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
